Ink House and the Environment

With the exception of a couple of hard to get Brother and Panasonic fax films and Dell ink and toner cartridges, Ink House only sells OEM (original equipment manufacturer) genuine products. This means we are selling you the real product that is manufactured by Brother, Canon, Epson, Lexmark, Konica Minolta, etc. We believe that genuine OEM products will deliver you a far superior output than any remanufactured or compatible cartridge and most of all not harm the most valuable part of the equation - your printer! This is our business decision because we will not sell you something that we would not use ourselves. This said, we still care for the environment and most definitely believe in recycling.

We mention the brand names above, with the exclusion of Dell and Panasonic, because these companies support an initiative in Australia called Cartridges 4 Planet Ark. This initiative collects and recycles your used ink cartridges and toner cartridges to prevent them going in the waste and ending up in landfill. To date they have collected over 12 million printer cartridges and are aiming to make that over 15 million by the end of 2010!*

Cartridges 4 Planet Ark

Do not throw your used cartridges in the bin! It is easy to support the program and most of all - the environment - by leaving your used products at the drop off bins located at most Australia Post, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, Tandy, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and Officeworks stores. Find your nearest drop off location.

Have you brought a Lexmark toner cartridge and noticed the resealable carton and seen the Close the Loop postage paid label enclosed? You can also support the program by posting back your empty toner you replace with the new cartridge. This is the same as using the drop off bins; it supports the environment at zero cost to you. Hewlett Packard, amongst others, have similar initiatives, so keep an eye out as we can all help fight climate change and make a sustainable future for all Australians.
